Oftentimes I’ll sit down with patients and spend time listening to them. And by doing that, we can easily come to an agreement on what they’re interested in changing. Where are the difficulties that they have with their appearance, and where can we help?
Peter Revenaugh, MD, FACS, is Head of the Section of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at RUSH University Medical Center. Dr. Revenaugh is the Director of the RUSH Facial Nerve Disorder and Rehabilitation Program as well as Co-Director of the RUSH Cosmetic Center. He also serves as the Patient Safety and Quality Officer for the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery where he leads efforts in improving quality and patient care. Dr. Revenaugh is certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well as the American Board of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery. In addition to his clinical roles, Dr. Revenaugh is actively involved in education. He is Co-Director of the RUSH Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship with Dr. Dean Toriumi in addition to participating in resident training and medical student education. Dr. Revenaugh completed advanced fellowship training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at Johns Hopkins University following residency at the Cleveland Clinic. He is an active member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and has authored numerous journal articles and book chapters related to complex aesthetic and reconstructive techniques. He also has a passion for humanitarian work and has traveled extensively, educating colleagues and providing surgical care around the world. Dr. Revenaugh believes that each patient deserves personalized, world class care. He joined RUSH based on the institution’s philosophy of excellence and has built the Section of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery around the shared values of excellence, compassion, collaboration, innovation, and integrity. He leads a team of surgeons known for their comprehensive and collaborative approach to aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. His clinical expertise and research interests include non-invasive and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures for facial rejuvenation, cosmetic and functional nasal surgery, rehabilitation for facial paralysis, and advanced facial reconstructive and microvascular surgery following head and neck cancer and skin cancer.
