About Me

Hagai Yavin, MD, is a cardiac electrophysiologist at RUSH University Medical Center and RUSH Oak Park Hospital, and an assistant professor at RUSH University. His clinical interests include His-bundle pacing, pacemaker implantation and cardiac catheterization. His clinical interests include atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, cardiac ablation techniques, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, as well as novel pacing techniques such as physiological left bundle pacing, and leadless pacemaker implantation.

Yavin received his MD from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. He then completed a residency in internal medicine and cardiology and a fellowship in cardiology at the Rabin Medical Center in Israel. He was awarded the Mark Josephson scholarship, which included a postdoctoral research position at Harvard University/Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston for one year, followed by an additional two years as a research fellow with the Cleveland Clinic. During that time, he was heavily involved in clinical research, focused on mechanisms and pathophysiology of atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, signal analysis and processing, as well as new ablation techniques and technology. He then completed two additional years of clinical electrophysiology fellowship at Cleveland Clinic before joining RUSH.
