Natasha Ahmed, MD, is a family and sports medicine physician at RUSH University Medical Center and assistant professor at RUSH Medical College. She is also the team medical physician for the Joffrey Ballet. In September, Dr. Ahmed began serving as medical director of the RUSH school-based health clinics.
Dr. Ahmed graduated from Michigan State University before continuing to medical school at Saba University School of Medicine, Caribbean Netherlands. She completed her residency in family medicine at RUSH University Medical Center, followed by her fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Toledo. Dr. Ahmed has also worked extensively as a team physician, providing sideline coverage and assistance in the training room with both orthopedic and primary care-trained sports physicians. Prior teams include the Toledo Mud Hens (the Triple-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers), Toledo Walleye Hockey (ECHL), University of Toledo Division 1 Athletics and the Chicago Marathon (as a medical volunteer).
